Strengths Deep Dive LLC is committed to providing engaging and transformative experiences that go beyond the surface, diving deep into participants' Clifton Strengths assessment results. Participants leave our retreats, workshops, and coaching/consulting sessions aware of the power in their innate talents and empowered to maximize their potential by developing those talents into strengths.
Daniel Almeida, PhD
The Strengths Professor
Dr. Almeida is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, a Certified Diversity Trainer and founder of Strengths Deep Dive, LLC. He is an expert in facilitating activities and conversations about understanding, developing and leveraging your own and others’ themes of talent on the Clifton Strengths assessment. Dr. Almeida began his strengths journey taking Gallup’s Clifton Strengths assessment (formerly StrengthsFinder) in 2009 in his role as a Career Counselor, and as he likes to say, he “caught the strengths bug.” Since then he has conducted 100+ workshops with a variety of individuals including business executives, entrepreneurs, health care professionals, librarians, faculty, administrators, counselors, high school students, college students, foster parents, and women in transitional housing.
Dr. Almeida was recently promoted (in record time) to Associate Professor in the School of Education at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he integrates the Clifton Strengths in his teaching and research. He received a $2.7 million multi-institution National Science Foundation grant to create a culturally-informed strengths-based faculty success program for the —California State University system—-the largest higher education system in the U.S. In addition to Clifton Strengths, Dr. Almeida also speaks about other areas of expertise including college student success, diversity and inclusion, team development and management, and career development.
Dr. Almeida received his PhD in Education from the University of Southern California, MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, and AB in Psychology from Dartmouth College. He is originally from New Bedford, MA and loves to cook and play the cello.
